 Image Doctor provides a set of image-retouching filters for Photoshop and compatible applications, including such capabilities as blemish and defect removal, repair of over-compressed JPEGs, and replacement of unwanted details and objects. for example, replaces large objects and defects by combining the repair with the background, while Spot Lifter removes blemishes while preserving the texture and detail of the underlying image. Version 2 is said to provide a more seamless integration of replacement pixels with the existing background, resulting in smoother blends of the edges of repaired areas. JPEG Repair now provides higher-quality fixes of JPEG compression, while skin retouching capabilities have been expanded, thanks to the Skin Softener and Blemish Concealer filters offering a wider array of skin-specific enhancement, including the softening of wrinkles and blemish removal. Other improvements include 16-bit support, native support for Macintosh Intel computers, multiprocessor support and a variety of user interface changes.
